McWherter Center

The Ned R. McWherter Center for Advanced Industrial Technologies, named after a former governor of Tennessee, is home to an array of technology programs offered by Jackson State that include electronics, mechatronics, robotics, additive manufacturing, computer information systems, as well as business. The 66,000 square foot facility has shared space with Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Jackson, machining and tool & die programs, and with University of TN – Martin, Jackson center. The Jackson State offices of Business, Engineering Systems Technology, Computer Information Technology, Workforce Solutions, Perkins, and Center of Emphasis also are located in the McWherter Center.
