Academic Assistance Center
Located on the 2nd floor of the library, the AAC offers Supplemental Learning Materials, Tutoring and a Computer Lab.
Supplemental learning materials in the form of computer assisted instruction, media materials and open computer lab facilities are provided in the AAC. Individual faculty or departments may submit instructional media materials for study by students. Proper media and computer equipment and lab supervision are provided.
The Academic Assistance Center (AAC) provides supplementary instructional materials and individual and group tutoring in most academic areas. The center is fully accredited by the CRLA at Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1. The AAC staff assists students in using SMARTHINKING, the on-line tutoring program JSCC has made available to its students, anywhere, any time.
The AAC houses more than 500 videos in nursing, algebra and other math courses, biology, anatomy and physiology, etc. It also checks out media items such as software CDs, laserdiscs, and video. There are 60 student accessible PCs.

Mon - Thurs 7:30 – 7:15
Friday 7:30 – 4:15
