Reading Course Descriptions
Note: Students enrolled in DSPR 0700 and DSPR 0800 may not enroll in reading intensive courses.
The following courses may be required of students based upon assessment results. Students may also be required to take one or more of the courses based upon referral from the instructor. None of the courses will satisfy requirements for degrees or certificates. (Prerequisite: Placement testing or completion of previous course in applicable sequence, if any.)
DSPR 0700 Basic Reading
Credit Hrs: 3 Pre-Req: Placement by TBR placement test
Co-Req: None
A course designed to improve the student's basic reading competencies. This course does not meet requirements for graduation or elective credit for graduation.
DSPR 0800 Developmental Reading
Credit Hrs: 3 Pre-Req: DSPR 0700 or placement by TBR placement test
Co-Req: None
