Who is eligible for Articulation?

To be eligible for articulation, a student must earn a regular diploma from one of the high schools in the JSCC 14 county service area. In addition, the student must earn an overall "C" average or higher. [Note that some programs require a minimum of a "B" in the technical program of study.]

Submit a signed Articulation Application to the Perkins IV office at Jackson State. Satisfactorily complete a proficiency/performance exam administered by the receiving postsecondary institution.

Six Easy Steps for Students

  1. Earn your high school diploma with related Career and Technical courses.
  2. Send your Articulation Application and your transcript to the Perkins IV Office.
  3. When you are cleared, the Perkins IV Office will contact you.
  4. Pass your exam(s) with the designated score.
  5. Review your grade(s) and sign the Results of Articulation form.
  6. Complete the remaining required credit hours.
