Writing Center Reading List
The Writing Center in collaboration with the Library hosts monthly reading groups. The groups are open to any student, faculty member, or staff member at Jackson State. Our list and focus change each month, and participants are not required to commit to long-term involvement. In other words, if a list interests you, join us!
In March, we'll be focusing on the work of female authors, in honor of Women's History Month. Here's the list:
- Elizabeth Barrett Browning: "Aurora Leigh" and "Mother and Poet"
- Edith Wharton: Age of Innocence and House of Mirth
- Charlotte Perkins Gilman: The Yellow Wallpaper
- Kate Chopin: The Awakening
- Emily Dickinson: Complete Poems (also available a the JSCC Library's online catalog and in a print book [PS1541.A1 1960].)
