Radiography Mission & Goals
Mission Statement
Jackson State Community College Radiography Program provides the opportunity for students to develop the clinical skills and technical competencies required of a certified Radiographer at entry level combined with the necessary academic background to enable the graduate to advance within the profession. The Program maintains high educational standards evidenced through national programmatic accreditation.
The Program will cooperate with professional organizations in offering opportunities for lifelong learning through continuing education programs.
Radiography Program Goals
The program's mission is supported by the achievement of the following goals:
- To provide students with knowledge and skills necessary to competently perform diagnostic radiography.
- To assist students in developing critical thinking and problem solving skills applicable to radiography.
- To assist students in developing effective communication skills.
- To provide the basis for professional growth and career advancement.
- To produce graduates who are able to meet the needs of the medical imaging community.
