Radiography Professional Credentialing
When all program requirements are successfully completed, the student is eligible to take the national certification examination offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Upon passing this computer-based examination, the individual is awarded the Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T. (R), ARRT - credential, signifying professional achievement and competence, and the technologist's name is added to the national directory of registered radiologic technologists.
Felony or Misdemeanor Convictions
The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) has regulations related to misconduct that may prevent persons with criminal convictions from taking the national certification examination. Individuals with a history of felony or misdemeanor convictions may request a pre-application review by ARRT to determine eligibility for certification in order to avoid delays in the application for examination process and remove uncertainty regarding eligibility. The pre-application review form is available from ARRT at (651) 687-0048 or from the Ethics section of ARRT's website at www.arrt.org
