Computer Labs

Jackson State features a large number of state-of-the-art computer classroom/laboratories both at the main campus in Jackson and at both off-campus Centers. Computer lab maintenance is performed by the Office of Information Technology. CIS employs the use of several of these labs in all coursework offered. To provide the greatest possible service to our students, the labs are constantly being updated to meet the rigorous demands of technology today and in the future.

The computer facilities allow students access to the latest technology. General purpose open computer labs are maintained in the Academic Assistance Center on the second floor of the library.

Many classrooms, the library and specific purpose computer facilities are available for instructional and research purposes. Users of college computer facilities are to act in a responsible, ethical, and legal manner.

Specific procedures and rules are available for each are and available for all students and authorized users. Purposeful or knowing misuse of any of these facilities will be subject to disciplinary action by the college.

All lab systems provide fast Internet access to enable students to perform research quickly, complete assignments, and communicate with instructors and staff.
