- A SACS credentialed high school teacher
- Facilitators that oversee online courses
- Distance Learning
All instructors - including those from JSCC and those from in-house - must meet SACS (our accrediting body) qualification. Teachers must meet the following criteria to be eligible to teach:
- Possess a master's degree
- Have 18+ graduate hours in the discipline that you are teaching (e.g., English Comp teachers will have a Master’s with 18 grad hrs in English)
Once hired the teaching team will be required to…
- Go through annual training with the Academic Dean to ensure you are aware of changes in technology, processes and deadlines
- Teach from the required JSCC syllabus and course textbook(s)
- Pose questions or report concerns to the Academic Dean of your subject area.
- Turn in all final grades by the posted deadline to submit grades (verify dates with the Records Office at 425-2654.)
