Dual Credit
Dual Credit is almost the same as Dual Enrollment, except that in the Dual Credit program high school credit is given.
2nd semester Freshman to Seniors with a 2.00 GPA may apply and be accepted to the Dual Credit Program without ACT or PLAN scores.
No tuition is involved, but there will be a $10 application fee to apply to JSCC.
Students who have completed certain career and technical courses in high school that are aligned with the learning outcomes of the postsecondary course can take course assessments developed by JSCC faculty.
The credit is only Pass/Fail for the college portion until successful completion of the assessment(s). The student will receive college credit for the course at JSCC upon enrollment at JSCC.
Dual credit students do not apply for admission to JSCC.
