ACT Residual Tests
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Residual ACTs taken at Jackson State cannot be used for the Tennessee Lottery Scholarship or be transferred to any other institution.
NOTE: Residual ACT Test Will be given in the Science Building in the Auditorium

Fee: $40.00 (Fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable)
Required for degree-seeking students who are less than age 21 who have not taken the ACT before. The ACT Residual is used for placement in reading, English and math classes.
In order to sign up for an ACT Residual test date, your online college admission or readmission application for the term has to be processed and your need for testing verified. Feel free to check on the status of your application by contacting the Admissions Office.
To test, you must register before the test date in person and pay your fee that same day. You may register on the main campus in the Academic Assistance Center (2nd floor of the Library) or at the Savannah, Lexington or Humboldt campuses.
The registration deadline is always no later than noon the workday before the test provided seats are still available.
On test day, please bring receipt showing that you paid for the test and a valid photo ID. Only an unexpired driver's license, state photo ID or JSCC ID is accepted. On test day, the name on your photo ID must match the name you provided on your admission application or that's in our computer system.
