Patty Easley
"Patty" has been immersed in lifelong learning since her education began at Jackson State Community College in the fall of 1996. As a non-traditional student having been out of high school for ten years, Patty was somewhat reluctant to make her first steps toward secondary education; however, she was met with much encouragement and help from far too many staff and faculty on the campus of JSCC to mention by name. With the guidance of so many excellent teachers and mentors, she graduated with honors in May 1999 with an Associates of Applied Science degree from the Physical Therapist Assistant Program and successfully passed her boards. She immediately went into out-patient rehabilitation services, eventually specializing in Women's Health via continuing education courses.
After several years of clinical practice, Patty accepted a position as an instructor in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program in the fall of 2003, where her lifelong learning experience was challenged with the opportunity to complete her undergrad work. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of Saint Francis in Health Arts in December 2006 and just recently completed her graduate studies from this same institution receiving her Master's of Science in Health Services Administration. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program and is also the Faculty Advisor for the program's PTA Club. This allows her the opportunity to raise awareness of the profession of Physical Therapy as well as raising many funds for various charities and organizations throughout the community of West Tennessee. As anyone on the campus will confirm, Patty credits her accomplishments to her beginnings at Jackson State Community College . Jackson State is truly where she began!
