ACT Residual Test Dates

Residual ACTs taken at Jackson State cannot be used for the Tennessee Lottery Scholarship or be transferred to any other institution.

Required for degree-seeking students who are less than age 21 who have not taken the ACT before. The ACT Residual is used for placement in reading, English and math classes.
In order to sign up for an ACT Residual test date, you must wait at least 3-5 business days after submitting your online college admission or readmission application for the fall term so it can be processed and your need for testing verified. Feel free to check on the status of your application online using the login and password you created when you applied for admission.
To test, you must register at the Assessment Center in the Student Union Building in person or by calling 731-425-2604. Next, pay your fee in the Business Services no later than noon the workday before the test. On test day, please bring receipt where you paid for the test and a valid photo ID. Only a valid driver's license, state photo ID or JSCC ID is accepted.
