The Jackson State Community College Academic Assistance Center provides a convenient testing environment for students, community, staff and faculty. The staff administers and proctors assessments conducive to individuals' overall academic success. Assessments include Jackson State online course and TN eCampus exams, Placement and Confirmation tests, ACT Residual tests for Admission, alternative testing accommodations for students with disabilities, Exit exams, Certification exams, and courtesy exams from both TBR and non-TBR colleges.
The Academic Assistance Center is located on the second floor of the Library.
Note: All exams require an unexpired Jackson State I.D.
Alternate Test Accommodations are available for JSCC students with disabilities who have registered with our Disability Resource Center and provided documentation of a diagnosed disability. The Disability Resource Center is located in the Student Center, Room 133. It is our goal to provide all students with appropriate and timely delivery of testing services; however, in some circumstances more than 48 hour registration notice may be needed to accommodate certain requirements or to procure necessary resources.
Faculty set the dates the exam is available for their Jackson State online classes. However, test date appointments will need to be scheduled in the AAC. To see the operation hours for testing, please click this link: Online Testing Information .
TN eCampus is available through TBR colleges, universities, and technology centers that joined to offer courses completed entirely online and transferable among all the participating institutions. Students are able to choose the college or university (home school) for their admission, registration, and the award of their degree. As part of this program, the TBR TN eCampus institutions have agreed to proctor the students' exams free of charge. Students must follow the proctor guidelines listed on the TN eCampus website. Exams must be scheduled at TBR Proctor Test Sites.
Courtesy exams require an appointment to be made by contacting the AAC at (731) 425-2614 or firstname.lastname@example.org and a $20 fee to be paid in the Jackson State Business Office.
