 Jimmy Leach

Jimmy served as the Director of Criminal Investigations for the Tennessee Department of Safety from 1988 through 1994. While serving in this capacity Mr. Leach supervised up to 145 commissioned and civilian employees including criminal investigators, undercover operatives, criminal interdiction patrol officers and office personnel. The CID also maintained all seized monies for the Department of Safety totaling several million dollars and Director Leach was responsible for a 6 million dollar annual budget.

 

Prior to this he was a Special Agent in Charge for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation where he supervised 23 Special Agents covering 53 counties east of Nashville. Mr. Leach’s service also included being a Special Agent TBI, State Trooper, and city police officer.

 

He holds a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, 133rd Session. Mr. Leach has received numerous commendations from

 

federal, state and local prosecutors and law enforcement agencies including the 2003

 

Outstanding Achievement Award from the University of Tennessee Martin.
