Lexington-Henderson Center

The Lexington-Henderson County Center of Jackson State opened in April 1999, through the cooperation of Jackson State, the City of Lexington, and Henderson County. The center is housed in a modern building located on Hwy 412 East. The facility is equipped with the latest in educational technology. There are computer laboratories, a science laboratory, spacious classrooms, testing facilities, library and learning resource areas.

The center offers an Associate Degree in General Studies. Other general education courses are also offered that will meet requirements of additional degrees offered through Jackson State main campus or other universities. Both on-line and video courses are available. Specialized courses in continuing education can be tailored to meet the needs of the community.

The Lexington Center adheres to the Jackson State Community College mission in providing accessible learning opportunities and services to a diverse student population and community. The college enhances quality of life by offering associates degrees, certificates and enrichment courses as preparation for further higher education and for career entry or advancement.

The friendly, experienced staff is eager to assist you in your educational pursuit. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to visit the center or call us at (731) 968-5722.
