NetLogon Information

Attention Students

Your logon account and email address has changed. This page contains important information that will help you to transition to your new NetLogon.

Don't Know Your Campus ID?

A letter was mailed to all enrolled students giving them their new Campus I.D. number (a.k.a. J number), and instructions to go to the college home page and set up their NetLogon before classes start.

If a student has lost their letter or the letter was returned to the college because of an expired address, students can get their Campus I.D. by:

What is a NetLogon?


As a student of Jackson State, you are provided with a NetLogon that is your logon account for online services and campus computers (any Jackson State campus).

You must activate your NetLogon account before you can use it. Using the Activate NetLogon link to the left, you will be able to upto the  to access the following services:

Activate NetLogon

You now have access to your new NetLogon. You must activate your NetLogon before you can use it to access to Jackson State online services.

To activate your NetLogon, perform the following steps:

  1. Click on the link.
  2. You will be asked for:
    1. Your CampusID number,
    2. Your first, middle, and last names,
    3. Your date of birth,
    4. Your zip code, and
    5. The last 4 digits of your phone number.
  3. Fill in all fields to ensure your identity and click Submit.
  4. Next you will be asked to verify or update your Security Information (a question and answer that you create) and to set a new password. Click Submit. THIS STEP IS IMPORTANT - until you create your new password, you will not be able to logon to any online services. After completing this, it could take 1-2 minutes for the changes to take effect.
  5. You will receive a confirmation email to your new email address (netlogon@student.jscc.edu) when you have successfully set your password and Security Information.

Reminder

Your old email and files in your home directory have been deleted. Be sure to resubscribe to your email lists. Also be sure to update any non-Jackson State website that uses your email address, e.g. alternate email for Yahoo, banking sites, MySpace, etc. to your new email address.

If you do not activate your NetLogon before coming to campus, you will have to logon to the computer using the account netlogon_help. You will be taken through the steps to activate your NetLogon. At the end of the process, logoff the account netlogon_help and then logon with your NetLogon account. After setting your password, please wait 1-2 minutes before attempting to login with your NetLogon.
