JSCC Radiography Program Hosts Information Sessions

Jackson, Tenn. -- The Radiography Program at Jackson State Community College will offer information sessions for those interested in a rewarding career in medical imaging on Monday, April 6 at 2 p.m. and Tuesday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Nelms Classroom Building room C1E3 at the college’s main campus in Jackson.

The sessions will be conducted by the program director and a radiography faculty member who will share information concerning the program application process, program structure and job opportunities.

The JSCC Radiography program is a two year, associate of applied science degree program and graduates are eligible to take the national certification examination to become Registered Technologists in Radiography.

Radiographers (also known as radiologic technologists or x-ray technologists) work with patients and x-ray equipment to produce medical images of the body, as prescribed by physicians, to assist in diagnosis of disease or injury.
