Tim Caldwell, owner of Southern Industrial Solutions (SIS) in Jackson, was presented recently with the Tennessee Small Business Development Center’s (TSBDC) “Rising Star” award. The award is presented annually to successful new small businesses.

Caldwell worked with TSBDC Director Ron Acree last year to put together the business plan for SIS. The two met together weekly to discuss business operations, marketing, management, financial projections and business planning. Acree referred Caldwell to contacts for future marketing, accounting, legal and financial funding needs.

The Center offers free assistance to help business owners grow and develop successful, thriving businesses.
