Welcome! I am Mike Bowen, Instructor of Business at Jackson State Community College. I have received a B.B.A. in Managerial Finance and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Mississippi. My primary teaching areas are economics and business.
During the eight years prior to moving to Jackson, Tennessee, I was an economist on the staff of the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning (the State College Board). During those eight years, I also taught economics courses part-time at Mississippi College and Belhaven College. Before my tenure as an economist in Mississippi, I was an economics instructor at the University of North Alabama.
I am married with three children. I am involved with various activities within my church. I enjoy my family, sports and ice cream.
