Program Outcomes

  1. Graduate aggregate success rate on the NCLEX-RN is equal to or exceeds the requirements of the Tennessee Board of Nursing and is equal to or exceeds the national mean as measured by annual graduate pass rate on the NCLEX-RN exam.
  2. Aggregate success rate on standardized exams equals or exceeds the national mean as measured by aggregate trended scores on standardized exams for each nursing course and the program competency exit exam.
  3. Aggregate achievement of graduate outcomes meets or exceeds expectations of employers and graduates as measured by graduate and employer ratings of graduate performance and ability to fulfill roles of the registered nurse as reported on annual graduate and employer surveys.
  4. 90% or more of program graduates secure employment in client care settings prior to graduation and are employed in client care settings within one year of graduation as measured on surveys administered prior to graduation and at one year following graduation.
  5. Admitted students graduate within three years of program enrollment at a rate that is equal to or exceeds other associate degree programs as measured by calculating the number of students who graduate within three years of program enrollment compared to the mean for other associate degree programs.
  6. State and national nursing accreditation program quality standards are achieved as measured by continued program approval by the Tennessee Board of Nursing and re-affirmation of program accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
  7. Evaluation data is used to maintain, develop, or revise the program as measured by program meeting minutes reflecting the use of evaluation data in program decision-making.
