Student Clubs & Organizations

<strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Art Club</span></strong> - The Art Club, founded in 1996, is open to all JSCC students who are interested in art. This organization promotes the appreciation and practice of the visual arts both on our campus and in the community. The club encourages cultural enrichment by providing experiences with guest artists, workshops, and field trips. Each year the club has fund-raisers to assist in defraying the cost of art trips.

<strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Chess Club</span></strong>  - (In probationary period)

<strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Computer Club</span></strong> - (currently inactive) Jackson State Computer Club-is a not for profit organization that provides college students with the opportunity to learn more about the field of computers, to network with people working in the field of computers, and the opportunity to reach out to the community in ways we are needed.

<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>FFA</strong></span> - FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>History and Philosophy Club</strong></span> - The purpose of the JSCC History/Philosophy Club shall be to provide a forum otside of the classroom for those interested in philosophical and historical study and debate.

<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Innovation</strong></span> - (currently inacitve) Jackson State's Innovation Ensemble is a diverse group of singers from across West Tennessee. They perform frequently for community events, and have repertoire ranging from traditional choral music and anthems to Motown, vocal jazz and doo-wop.

<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Kappa Beta Delta</strong></span> - The purpose of this society shall be to encourage and recognize scholarship and accomplishment among students of business, management, and administration; and to encourage and promote aspirations toward personal and professional improvement and a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind. It is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.

<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>A Nation Against Genocide</strong></span> - It is the mission of the Nation Against Genocide Club, to educate and advocate the Jackson State Community College students and the community of Jackson and surrounding areas about the genocides that plague the global community.

<strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Phi Theta Kappa</span></strong> -

<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Physical Therapy Assistant Club</strong></span> -  The Physical Therapist Assistant Club of Jackson State Community College is an organization established to cultivate, promote and sustain the art and science of physical therapy, to represent and safeguard the common interest of the members of the physical therapy profession, and to contribute toward the improvement of the health of the public.

<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Respiratory Therapy Club</strong></span> - The objective of this organization shall be to promote and sustain the art and science of respiratory therapy, to represent the common interest of the respiratory therapy profession, and improve health of the public. This organization shall promote the field of respiratory therapy on the campus and ensure the actions of the students properly represent the dignity of the profession.

<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Sigma Kappa Delta</strong></span> - (currently inactive) The objective of this organization shall be to promote and sustain the art and science of respiratory therapy, to represent the common interest of the respiratory therapy profession, and improve health of the public. This organization shall promote the field of respiratory therapy on the campus and ensure the actions of the students properly represent the dignity of the profession.

<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Spanish Club</strong></span> -

<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Student Government Association</strong></span>  - The Student Government Association (SGA) is the chief student governing body of Jackson State. SGA is responsible for representing the collective needs, ideas, and concerns affecting students. The SGA facilitates communication with administration and faculty to address campus improvement. In addition, SGA works to promote school spirit, cultivate student leadership, secure student enrichment programming and encourage student participation. All registered students are SGA members. SGA is funded through the Student Activity Fee.

<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Student Nurses Association</strong></span> - The purpose of the JSCC SNA shall be to assume responsibility for contributing to nursing education through leadership development and political activism in an attempt to provide for the highest quality of health care; to provide programs representative of the fundamental and current professional interest and concerns; to aid in the holistic development of the individual in his/her professional role, including his/her responsibility for the health care of people in all walks of life.  The functions of the JSCC SNA shall be to promote and encourage participation in community affairs and activities towards improving health care and resolving related issues; to represent nursing students to the health care consumer, institutions, and other professional organizations; to promote and encourage student participation in interdisciplinary activities; to promote and encourage recruitment efforts, participation in student activities, and educational opportunities, regardless of a person's race, color, creed, sex, lifestyle, national origin, age, or economic status.

<strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Theatre Club</span></strong> - Theatre Club is a student organization with elected officers that seeks to provide students with opportunities to work on productions, attend field trips, listen to guest speakers and to learn about theatre by hands-on work in the theatre. Theatre Club is open to any registered student. It's a crazy fun time - join us!

<strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Student Veterans Association</span></strong>  - (In probationary period)
