Call to order
SGA President, Kevin Newhouse called the meeting to order at 2:00 and handed out the agendas.

Reading of the minutes
SGA Secretary, Bill Mathews read the minutes of the previous meeting and they were approved as read.

Review of SGA office hours and office decorum
Steve Cornelison said that if we were signed up for office hours at a specific time, then we need to be in the office during that time because other people had our office times and when or if they need to contact us we need to be where we say we are going to be.

Steve also said that our conduct in the office should be in a business like manner and that the office is for SGA business.

Mr. Finney said that we should post our office schedule on the outside of the SGA office door.

Mr. Finney also informed us that our evaluation has office hours as well as activities and that we could not count activity hours as office hours and activity hours both. We can't sign in the office and then do activities.

Nicole asked about playing a radio in the office and Steve said that it would be fine as long as the volume was low. Steve said that one of the purposes of SGA was to prepare us for tomorrow.

Nicole stated that someone had said that they had had a bad experience with SGA last semester, and we don't need that kind of image; everyone agreed.

Fundraiser for JSCC Storm Victims
Kevin told everyone of our success at the last basketball game with asking for donations by passing a basket around. Steve said that we shouldn't pass a basket and ask for donations. He said that a much more politically correct way would be to sell concessions. That would probably bring in more money and wouldn't put patrons in a position to think that they have to give. He also said that we could set up a table if we wanted to.

Mr. Finney said that we should have a plan of action in place and then follow it.

Lisa Kincaid suggested that we hammer out our plan now, and we decided to do concessions at the next two basketball games and see how it worked out.

New Smoking Policy Proposal
We had lots of discussion on the proposal and decided to do an awareness of the policy day.

Alcohol Awareness day April 3rd
We talked about the upcoming Alcohol Awareness Day and who we were going to invite and what theme we were going to have. We said that Jacoa should come and do screenings as they have before. We are going to invite Narcotics Anonymous to set up an information table. We thought that JPD resource officer Taylor should be invited and Steve said that he would get his phone number for us. We also talked about asking the THP to come and do the impaired vision goggles.

Announcements
Bill told everyone about a need for things to be sent to Africa.
