SGA Meeting: September 17, 2007
SGA held their meeting on September 17, 2007 at 8:00 a.m.
Attendance
Steven Cornelison, Kevin Newhouse, Beth Grissom, Billie Jo Callis, and Nora Mercado. Paul Finney was present before the meeting then left before the meeting was called to order.
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 8:08 a.m. in the Foundation Board Room.
Discussion of Old & New Business
- There wasn't any old business to discuss but we did have several new businesses. Jim Wand came today at 11:30 and it was a great hit, everyone loved it. The TBR luncheon in tomorrow at 6:30 and also tomorrow is Constitution Day in the student union at 12 noon. SGA elections started today and I have to say I'm impressed with all the student who are running. Elections will end on the 20th of September. Club Registration Forms are due September 26th.
- Starting in October we start planning for JSCC's Christmas Parade float on October 1st also, the Health & Career Fair will be held in the Gymnasium from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on October 10th, SGA will be setting up a booth in the gym. SGA officers will try to attend the Strikes for Tikes to show Jackson States' support. We decided that we will have a Field Day on Wednesday April 9, 2008 in the spring semester.
Announcements
- We need to make a sign up sheet for all clubs to sign in they're going to set up a booth in the Health & Career Fair.
- On October 1st we will have another SGA meeting at 2:00 p.m. right before we have the meeting for the Christmas Parade float. We will also have a meeting on October 22nd at 3:00 p.m. This will cover all of our October meetings!
- In November we will have a meeting on the 5th and the 19th both at 3:00 p.m.
