The Student Government Association held their meeting on September 5, 2007 at 8:00.
Call to Order
President Kevin Newhouse called the meeting to order at 8:02, all attended are listed as followed: Kevin Newhouse, SGA President; Beth Grissom, SGA Vice President; Billie Jo Callis, SGA Secretary; Steve Cornelison, SGA Coordinator, Lisa Kincaid; Executive Assistant to Vice President of Student Services, Paul Finney, Vice President of Student Services, and Nora Mercado, running freshman commissioner. And guest Rhonda Jones arrived at 8:12
Announcement
Kevin Newhouse made the suggestion about SGA officers attending the "Goody 2 Shoes" on Saturday, September 8, 2007, from 8 to 10 in the morning. Strikes for Tikes will be held on October 11, 2006, at 7 to 10 p.m. All petitions must be turned in the Lisa Kincaid by September 11, 2007; Elections will start September 17, 2007.
Reports
The Welcome Back Bash was a great success; there was an excellent turnout of students and Faculty. Students enjoyed the rock wall and also the free food. We had many students ask about how they can become part of the SGA staff.
