JSCC PTK Eligibility Criteria: Students with a 3.25 or higher GPA and at least 12 college credit hours are invited to join Phi Theta Kappa. Eligible students will receive a membership invitation email from a PTK advisor during the first few weeks of each semester. Members pay a one-time membership fee of $80.00, which helps to fund scholarships, conventions, and our local chapter's activities.

Benefits of Membership: As a PTK member, your academic excellence will be recognized with the Golden Key Membership Pin and a membership certificate. Members who maintain a 3.25 GPA at the time of their graduation will receive membership notation on their transcripts and diploma and the privilege of wearing Phi Theta Kappa regalia at graduation. PTK members also have access to transfer scholarships at colleges and universities all over the nation. Locally, Union University, Bethel University, Lipscomb University (Nashville), and The University of Memphis offer PTK transfer scholarships. Most importantly, active PTK membership provides students with an array of benefits and experiences designed to help them grow as scholars and servant leaders.
