Disbursement Specialist - Payroll

Duties

Job Summary:

The Disbursement Specialist - Payroll processes remittances of all payroll liabilities for the system to include court ordered deductions, in a timely and accurate manner as well as assists employees with payroll inquiries.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Processes remittances of all payroll liabilities for the system
  • Assists employees, timekeepers, and directors with inquiries and requests for information
  • Ensures vendor discrepancies are resolved and credits are recovered from vendors
  • Processes travel expense requests for system
  • Monitors invoices/vendors for 1099 taxability
  • Performs related responsibilities as required or directed 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Requires high school diploma

Experience: 

  • Payroll and accounts payable processes and principles as acquired with three (3) - five (5) years of related experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Requires basic office skills, ability to type 40 wpm, efficiently use calculator, and basic computer skills

Interpersonal Requirements:

  • Requires proficiency in communication skills
  • Contributes to a positive work environment and the overall team effort of the department 

 

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
