Duties
Overview:
Responsible for performing and monitoring CT procedures. Under the general supervision of the Unit Coordinator CT, responsible for performing CT procedures on all assigned shift as scheduled. The employee is subject to overtime and call back as circumstances dictate.
Responsibilities:
Performs all CT scan procedures
Conducts daily calibration checks, archive recordings, a retrieval of magnetic tape
Prepares and administers contrast media during examinations
Reconcile, acquire, and process images in the Radiology PACS setting
Applies appropriate functions and applications within the Radiology Information Systems
Qualifications
Education:
Skills and proficiency in the technical field of Radiologic Technology. Such proficiency is acquired through completion of a 2 year accredited AMA approved Radiology Technology Program (ARRT) and CPR certified.
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
Registration as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and CPR certified
Is proactive and ensure the availability of a current license, does not let license lapse at the end of the birth monty. Notifies any known problems with their license immediately to the Director
Experience:
Knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures, ability to perform CT procedures as acquired through 6 months of training
