Duties
Summary:
Purchase materials in accordance with prescribed purchasing regulations and procedures. Support company site by reviewing and analyzing purchase requisitions, developing sources of supply, review quotations, interprets purchasing procedures to departments and vendors, and serves as a liaison between the company and suppliers/vendors. Provides superior customer service by delivering products and services that meet or exceeds customers' expectations. Quote products and services that meet or exceeds customers' requirements and expectations. Source existing and new Suppliers for best pricing, quality, and lead time.
Must work well in a team environment and with other cross-functional groups. Must feel comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based environment where priorities are continually changing.
Demonstrates consistent, dependable, on-time performance
Ability to communicate effectively with customer, sales and other Team Members
Research and resolve any accounts payable issues related to assigned commodities
Take daily action to meet KPI's defined by Management
Monitor inventory for assigned commodities
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with supervision within specified time frames
Prepares quotes, using system, Excel, or other programs required by customer or company
Enters and tracks customers' orders from inception to delivery
Expedities and communicates follow-up to sales representative or customer contact
Ability to communicate effectively with customer, sales and other Fastener Team Members
Identify and select suppliers to procure goods and services based on customer demand, quality, delivery, MOQ's, and pricing
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education/Skills Requirements:
Intermediate MS Office and general computer skills
