Duties
Engage customers to learn about their health and medications; create human connections by focusing on service; demonstrate compassion and care by proactively identifying and resolving potential problems; communicate with patients, co-workers, insurance companies, and prescribers; work on a team to fulfill prescription orders; understand and follow federal and state laws such as HIPAA and OSHA; comply with CVS policies and procedures; seek opportunities to expand clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge; balance quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age; able to stand and walk for an etended period of time; bending/squatting/leaning with full use of lower extremities and back muscles; able to load and unload trays/cases/totes (30 pound maximum to a height of four feet), effective verbal communication; able to move quickly from one task to another; able to concentrate on a task for significant periods of time. Prefer a high school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting; previous experience as a pharmacy technician; national certification from an accredited pharmacy technician certification program approved by specific state regulations.
