What is Distance Education?
Jackson State offers several options for students who want a quality education that fits their life circumstances. If you need to attend classes but have a busy schedule, Distance Education classes may be an option for you.
All classes follow a schedule, but Distance Education classes offer more flexibility and the option to work on class assignments when you have time. Courses have set due dates for assignments, quizzes and discussion posts and deadlines for reading or viewing course materials. You can set your own schedule as long as you meet the professor's due dates.
Embedded Librarian for online students
Have you ever needed help with a research project for your class and wished you could have your own personal librarian? An Embedded Librarian serves as a research coach and is available online, by phone or in person. The Embedded Librarian is there to ensure student success in assignments that involve library research.
