History

The History pathway prepares students for jobs in high school teaching, museums, state and national parks, writing, film, law, politics, and research. Jackson State offers courses in World Civilizations, American History, and Tennessee History.  These courses meet the requirements for degrees at Jackson State and for transfer to four-year colleges and universities.  The study of History at Jackson State produces an educated citizenry capable of understanding and dealing with today’s increasingly complex global interaction and economy.
