All degree-seeking students attending Jackson State for the first time are required to complete an orientation. Our 4 hour orientation is designed to get you off to a good start by providing practical knowledge that will help you succeed.
In orientation, you can:
- Meet our faculty, staff, and other new students
- Understand college expectations and resources
- Meet with an academic advisor and register for your classes
- Create your student photo ID
Plus, we can personally answer any questions you may have. Please arrive at the McWherter Building 30 minutes early to Check-In. We have Great Expectations that you will accomplish your educational goals at Jackson State.
Is there anything else you should do before attending your orientation? We are so glad you asked!
