Nita McKnight

Neta McKnight

Neta McKnight served 37 years as the director for the Radiography program before retiring in 2007. She continues to serve as a board member of the Jackson State Community College Foundation, making her the longest-serving member with over 40 years of service. Her passion for teaching and for the Radiologic profession also led her to secure funding for scholarships that have been meeting the needs of students for decades. McKnight’s philanthropic mission to provide Radiologic Technology students with scholarships has successfully established nine endowed radiology scholarships that total approximately $185,000. These endowments provide approximately $5,000 to $7,000 per year in scholarships for students to successfully complete the program. We are thankful for her dedication and vision for the future of the JSCC Foundation.

McKnight was honored in October 2019 as the RADT lab was named in her honor.
