Former JSCC General Moving up as a Pro

Jackson State frequently has very talented athletes pass through its ranks. Occasionally, those athletes go on to very successful careers in athletics. Some even go on to play professional sports. Former Generals baseball pitcher Wes Parsons is one of those standout athletes.

Wes came to Jackson State from Clarksville, TN. He is one of many successful players from this area that have come to JSCC. While here, Parsons was 7-3 in 13 starts. He pitched 79.1 innings and had a 4.31 ERA. He struck out 60 and only walked 23 batters during the 2012 season. During his freshman year, Wes signed as a free agent with the Atlanta Braves program while playing summer ball in the Northwoods League.
