Jackson State to Hold Information Meeting on High School/College Dual Enrollment

Jackson, Tenn. - High school juniors and seniors in Madison County can get a jump start on obtaining college credit while still in high school through Jackson State Community College's dual credit program this fall. Information will be presented to students and parents on March 27 at 6:30 p.m. in Ayers Auditorium in the McWherter Center at Jackson State.

High school students who meet the criteria will take classes like English, Precalculus Algebra and American History and receive both high school and college credit for the class.

Students who score at least a 19 composite and a 19 in English or Math on the ACT and have a 3.0 GPA are eligible to take the classes.

There will be an information session for students and parents interested in the dual credit program on Thursday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m. in Ayers Auditorium. Jackson State administrators will be there to answer questions and hand out application materials for the fall semester.
