Jackson State Offers Community Express Loan Workshop January 23

Jackson, TN- A free Community Express Loan Workshop will be held on January 23 at 10 a.m. at the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce located at 197 Auditorium Street in Jackson. The workshop is co-sponsored by the Small Business Administration and the Tennessee Small Business Development Center of Jackson State Community College.
Participants will learn how to apply for a Small Business Administration Community Express Loan through Superior Financial Group. The Community Express Loan program is available to full-time and part-time businesses. These loans are payable over ten years. Loan amounts are from $5,000 to $25,000, and no collateral or financial statements are required. All partners, principals or co-owners of the business must apply together. Those with a criminal history or anyone who has defaulted on a government loan including student loans are not eligible. Non-profit businesses are not eligible.

This program is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Additional funding is provided by the Tennessee Board of Regents and the State of Tennessee. All SBA funded programs are extended to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis.
