Jackson State Receives Golden Apple Award from Jackson Chamber of Commerce

On Friday, May 24th, at the Jackson Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Membership/Education Recognition breakfast, Jackson State received the Golden Apple Award for its involvement in the Partners-in-Education program. Jackson State received the award for participating in at least ten activities with its two partners, Rose Hill Middle School and Liberty Technology Magnet High School, during the 2012-13 school year. Jackson States contributions included Christmas presents for eight students at Rose Hill Middle School and a $500 Jackson State scholarship for a Liberty Technology Magnet High School student who attended Project Graduation. Faculty and staff donated most of the funds that Jackson State contributed to the Partners-in-Education program.
