Jackson State's Brady Nominated for All-USA Community College Academic Team

Jackson States Sara Brady has been nominated for the All-USA Community College Academic Team.

On February 5, Brady attended a luncheon in Nashville to honor all of the TN community college students nominated for this potential scholarship.

Brady is a sophomore at Jackson State Community College majoring in Chemistry with a 3.9 GPA. Sara aspires to earn a doctorate in chemistry and work in forensic science. She is a member of the Chi Omicron Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and will be taking on a leadership position with the organization this spring. She is also a Science Ambassador, which requires her to work outside of the classroom with elementary students, engaging them in various activities to help them learn more about science. While Brady is a strong student academically, she is also very involved with her church and work. Education is a priority, and she hopes to transfer to Lipscomb University in the fall.

Brady was one of 25 students from the state of Tenn., recognized for this nomination. At the luncheon, the students also got a chance to meet Governor Haslam during the tour of the state capitol.

Brady will learn if she indeed is the recipient of the scholarship late March/ early April.

Jackson State is proud of Brady and all that she has accomplished.
