JSCC Military Veterans to Receive Priority Registration Status Per State Bill 2961

Jul 12th, 2012

As a 'thank you' to our military veterans, JSCC now allows veterans to register for classes before the general student body. Priority registrations for veterans will begin the spring 2013 semester.

If you are a veteran and a current JSCC student, your status can be verified by providing the Member 4 copy of your DD214 (discharge) form to the Veterans' Affairs Office in the basement of the Nelms Classroom Building, (731) 425-2618. Students that meet the military veteran status, who already are attending Jackson State, and are working with the Veterans' Affairs Office need only watch for notice about your priority registration in November.

If you are a new student to Jackson State, you may supply the DD214 document to the Admissions Office in the Administration Building, (731) 425-8844.

The next opportunity to register early will be this November for the spring 2013 semester. Priority registration for summer/fall will be in April. Early registration typically is held three to four working days prior to the beginning of registration for the general student body.

A step-by-step admission process guide can be found by visiting http://www.jscc.edu/admission-guide or by calling Admissions at (731) 425-8844.
