JSCC to Offer Classes at Brownsville's TTC

Feb 3rd, 2012

Jackson State Community College (JSCC) will begin offering classes at the Tennessee Technology Center (TTC) in Brownsville beginning summer 2012. The primary focus will be to offer the core general education courses needed to obtain an associate's degree in one of the Tennessee Transfer Pathways - degrees that lead to a bachelor's degree at a four-year university. Also, courses will be offered that will assist TTC students in obtaining an associate's degree. The TTC will continue to offer classes at the facility. 'This is a great opportunity for residents of Brownsville and Haywood County that represents the combined efforts of the community, its leaders, and Jackson State. The community leaders are excited and passionate about increasing access to higher education, and we're glad to partner with them,' said Bobby Smith, Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs at Jackson State. Interested Haywood County High students are encouraged to speak with their academic counselor for additional information or to contact admissions at Jackson State via admissions@jscc.edu.
