JSCC's Radiography Program to Hold Information Sessions

Jackson, Tenn. -- The Radiography Program at Jackson State Community College will offer an informational meeting for those interested in a rewarding career in medical imaging on Tuesday, April 17 at 10 a.m. and Wednesday, April 18 at 11 a.m. in the Nelms Classroom Building room C1E3 at the college's main campus in Jackson.

The JSCC Radiography program is a two year, Associate of Applied Science Degree program and graduates are eligible to take the national certification examination to become Registered Technologists in Radiography.

Radiographers (also known as radiologic technologists or x-ray technologists) work with patients and x-ray equipment to produce medical images of the body, as prescribed by physicians, to assist in diagnosis of disease or injury.

Meetings also will be held at Jackson State'??s Savannah campus at 5 p.m. on April 16; at Jackson State's Lexington campus at Noon on April 23; and at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City in the North Tower Conference Room at 6 p.m. on April 23.
