Lady Generals Sign New Recruits

Four new Lady Generals were signed to play for the Jackson State basketball program Wednesday, April 16. The recruits, coaches and family members gathered in the colleges foundation boardroom for a signing ceremony and a time of celebration. This is a time of transition and advancement in the athletic and academic careers of these players, notes Coach Michael Winders, continuing, We want to help commemorate this milestone in their lives and also show our confidence and pride in them.

Chloe Roberts

Scotts Hill High School

Chloe is a great scorer and will have the opportunity to step in and contribute right away. She comes from a great program led by Coach Tracy Chandler.


  • 21.6 points 7.6 rebounds

  • All District Three years

  • All Tournament

  • All Region

  • All State

  • Chosen to play in all-star game


Christina Moore

Dyersburg High School

Christina is a defensive general, and will be expected to come and be a leader for our team on the floor. She brings toughness and determination to our team. She comes from a great program at Dyersburg high school led by Randy Coffman.

  • 14.1 points 6.7 rebounds

  • MVP twice

  • All District

  • All Tournament

  • Wants to pursue nursing


Quinnisha Thomas

North Side High School

Quinnisha is an athletic guard who has the ability to score from anywhere on the floor. Helped led Jackson North Side to a Sub State finish

  • 3.8 GPA

  • Played three sports: Basketball, Softball, and Track

  • Best Defensive Player Award

  • All District

  • All District Tournament Team

  • All Region

  • All Region Tournament Team

  • Chosen to play in all-star Game


Lakeshia Marcell

Lakeshia Marcell is a physical post player that can finish around the basket. We feel that Lakeshia has the opportunity to come and develop her game to a higher level. Lakeshia was chosen to play in all-star Game
