MS Office training series offered at JSCC in July and August

Jun 1st, 2022

A basic, intermediate, and advanced training series for four of Microsoft Office’s most popular applications will be offered at Jackson State Community College during July and August. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint will be offered as one-day courses for each level.

The college’s Division of Workforce Solutions has experienced heightened interest in training for Microsoft business applications, according to director John McCommon. The training series will allow individuals to learn or upskill in the four popular applications.

Each course varies in length from four to eight hours, depending on the skill level being offered. A 10% discount is offered to those who take more than one course in the series. Each skill level (basic, intermediate, and advanced) is offered as a bundle, but classes can be mixed as needed by contacting John at jmccommon@jscc.edu or 731-425-8826.

Experienced JSCC instructors with practical experience using the applications teach the courses. “The students’ experience from our software application classes always ranks high in course evaluations,” McCommon said. “The one-on-one classroom interaction from a tried-and-true program is a great value for anyone interested in learning Microsoft Office applications.”
