Travel to Peru with Jackson State Community College

Jackson State Community College is offering a trip to Peru for students, faculty, staff and community members in May 2009. The 10-day cultural experience titled, 'Ancient Treasures of Peru,' organized by Mary Wadley, assistant professor of Spanish and English, will take travelers on a cultural journey of a lifetime from May 9 - 19, 2009.

Highlights of the tour include: the Plaza de Arman and Gold Museum in Lima, Colonial Cuzco in the Andes Mountains, Sacsayhuaman, Tampu Maachay, Urubamba River rafting, Pisac Market, Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu, lost city of the Inca Empire.

The program fee is $2,429. The fee includes round-trip airfare, nine overnight stays in tourist class hotels, nine continental breakfasts, nine three-course dinners, three lunches, all sightseeing and entrance fees for the planned itinerary, international medical insurance, Culture Quest Travel Pak, taxes and gratuities on included items and service and planning of Culture Quest staff. Not included in the fee is airport taxes in Peru to be paid at the airport, airline fuel surcharges and U.S. departure taxes which are subject to change.
