Philippine Cultural Exhibit at JSCC Library through Dec. 10

Laurence Tumpag, an alumnus of Jackson State Community College, has set up a display of Philippine artifacts in the JSCC Library. The display is free and open to the public during regular library hours. It will run through Dec. 10.

Historical and cultural pieces include ethnographic dolls, native textiles and instruments, early writing systems of the Philippines, statues and historical periodicals.

The display is dedicated to the memory of Filipinos who were involved in the human zoos in the St. Louis World Fair of 1904. For more information or library hours, contact the Jackson State Library at 731-425-2609.
