JSCC’s RCT Program Receives Continuing Accreditation
Jackson State’s Respiratory Care Program (RCT) has received continuing accreditation for the next 10 years from The Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). The recent accreditation review conducted by CoARC recognized the program’s substantial compliance with the nationally established accreditation standards.
The RCT program began at JSCC in 1970. Since that time, the program has graduated over 250 individuals who have gone on to be not only respiratory therapists but department directors, hospital administrators, perfussionists, nurse anesthetists, and physicians.

Jackson State Receives National Recognition for Developmental Math Redesign
Jackson State Community College has been awarded the Futures Assembly Bellwether Award for excellence in community college instructional services and programs for its SMART Math developmental studies redesign. This is a national award given to only one community college in the country in each of three categories each year.
Jackson State Schedules Nursing Information Sessions
The Nursing Department at Jackson State Community College will hold three information sessions this spring. All sessions are free and open to anyone one who is interested in pursuing a career in nursing.
Current JSCC nursing students, faculty, and staff will discuss the nursing program admissions policies, course requirements, keys to success, career opportunities, and other helpful information.

Frost Named NCAT Scholar
Betty Frost,associate professor of mathematics at Jackson State Community College, has been named a
