Jackson State Community College will host its seventh annual West Tennessee economic summit on Tuesday, October 19 from 9 a.m.
The Nursing Department at Jackson State Community College will hold four information sessions this fall. All sessions are free and open to anyone one who is interested in pursuing a career in nursing.
Current JSCC nursing students, faculty, and staff will discuss the nursing program admissions policies, course requirements, keys to success, career opportunities, and other helpful information.

The JSCC Counseling Office will offer a series of Lunch and Learn seminars throughout the semester. Students are invited to bring lunch (drinks are provided) and join in the discussion at Noon in the Foundation Board Room of the Student Union on the following dates:
September 23 – Grade Recovery – Let’s Have a Great Semester
Is your grade point average on life support? It’s time to help recover your good academic standing by following helpful tips presented by Jackson State faculty and staff. Have a great semester by getting your grades and your future success on the road to recovery.
October 6 – Smart Sex and Healthy Living
A representative from the Jackson-Madison County Health Department will discuss how we all can make smart choices about our partners and other lifestyle options that will affect our future – in college and beyond.
November 10 – Choosing Your Future
It’s hard to stay on the path toward success when you don’t know what success means to you. We’ll talk about things to consider and tools to use as you choose what you want your future to be.
December 1 – Stress Management/Relaxation
The end of the fall semester is on us, and that means papers and projects are due – and final exams! Spend a calming lunch hour learning how to ward off stress and keep your cool.
