Athletics

Jackson State Community College has a proud tradition of athletic success on the field and in the classroom. With a committment to excellence, Jackson State has seen significant improvements to their facilities over the past 3 years including the addition of a new softball field in the Spring of 2013. Jackson State added a new fitness center in the Summer of 2014. The charge to improve facilities began in the Fall of 2011 with the complete renovation of the JSCC Gym, including new locker rooms for all teams and a new training room.

With several Western Division basketball championships and Region VII appearances, the men's and women's basketball teams always give the students something to cheer about.

The JSCC baseball team were the TCCAA Conference Champions in 2005 and produced several MLB players such as George Sherrill.

Jackson State Community College is a member of Tennessee Community College Athletic Association and National Junior College Athletic Association.
