Looking for a place to park? Here's a quick guide on everything you need to know about parking at Jackson State.
Parking permits are required for all students, faculty, and staff who park on campus. The good news is, parking permits are free! You can register for a parking permit on Jweb or by stopping by jHub in the Student Center to get one.
Students may park in Lot K in front of the McWherter Center, Lots D and Lot D1 in front of the Gym, and Lot J on the back side of the Walter L. Nelms Classroom Building.
The front row of Lot J is reserved for Staff and Faculty. Students may NOT park in Staff and Faculty parking lots, such as Lot A in front of the Jim Moss Center for Nursing. Students who are found parking in Staff and Faculty parking lots may be subject to penalties.
Our Ned R. McWherter Center has some construction going on around Due to this construction, there is limited parking. Parking Lot K in front of the McWherter Center is available on a first-come-first-serve basis (any marked employee spaces are not to be used by students). Overflow parking for the McWherter Center will be parking lots D and D1 in front of the Gymnasium.
Neither students nor Staff/Faculty should park in a parking space identified as "Visitor Parking."
As a general rule, student parking spaces are designated by white-lined parking spaces, staff & faculty parking spaces are designated by yellow-lined parking spaces, and visitor parking spaces are designated by green-lined parking spaces.
